THE INGREDIENTS IN Herbal SLEEP

Griffonia simplicifolia (5-Hydroxy-Tryptophan) - 5-HTP is an amino acid that can be found naturally in certain foods such as cheese and turkey. The body makes 5-HTP and converts it into an important brain chemical known as serotonin. Studies suggest that people with insomnia, anxiety and depression may have a deficiency in serotonin.

Melatonin - A hormone made by the pineal gland in the brain. It helps signal our bodies to know when it is time to go to sleep and when it is time to wake up. Studies have shown significant improvement in patients with insomnia.

Valerian Powder -Used for centeries for anxiety, insomnia and nervous digestive problems. Research shows that valerian root helps overall sleep quality. Several studies printed in the National Library of Medicine hail Valerian Root for it's sleep inducing properties. In one double blind test, when compared to a placebo, 44% reported perfect sleep and 89% reported improved sleep.

Chamomile Powder -This herb is cultivated worldwide for use as a mild sedative It is commonly used in a tea form to calm nerves and relax intestinal cramps.

Skullcap
- Scutellaria lateriflora, grows in Europe and North America, and is well known for its beneficial sedative effect on the nervous system. It has been used for over two hundred years as a mild relaxant and has long been hailed as an effective therapy for anxiety, nervous tension, and convulsions.
